Comfort

Somehow the teddy bear has entered into our daydreams as a symbol of comfort.  A place that has the “comforts of home” and the comfort of my own bed.  A few weeks on the road and the images of comfort become icons.  Places of near worship.

On the museum wall a brass table/tray is displayed as being an artifact from Syria or Damascus created in around 1900 ACE.  Now I am really heading home soon.  We have one of these in the garage and the artifact value has not caught on yet!  I think we also have a few bent cane Chinese chairs, like those on display in the museum.

Walking around Honolulu and this vintage Coca Cola sign rests across this tired doorway.  Symbols of comfort and signs of conquest can not eradicate a history devoid of spiritual principles.
