On the bench in the neatly tended ledge garden the flags from around the world proclaim peace.  The waves seem to say the same thing.  Time has a way of washing every tear of disagreement away.

On the north side of the island a traditional shrimp stand (updated to food truck) serves the best the ocean has to offer.  Fresh, spiced and presented like the gospel truth.  Served like a sermon.  There is a line up at the truck and the church is empty.  Maybe shrimp are worth saving.

In the earthquake resistant style of the Japanese Pagoda this church has survived over one hundred years on Ohau.  In touch with the islanders, this church has baptized, buried and married islanders.
