Taking the penetrating images of a life of work and putting them in your own Museum was an exposure no meter could have predicted.  The images captured by Mate are more than the pause button in historical moments, they are history.  From his images of princess Diana, two weeks before her death, to the images of Rhiana captured last month, Mate has created not only a photo history but has in his own setting given space to images that are larger than life.

Walking the wall-ways between the exhibition spaces, one gets a sense of the pastoral coupled with unending anticipation.  The wedge of flying concrete that juts into the walking path calls for consideration, review, and even examination.
